Spring is upon us and it’s time to start our Adult Golf Schools and Clinics at The Golf Academy.

Our first golf clinic of the 2012 season starts Saturday March 17th at 10am and enrollment is already under way.

These clinics are a great way for beginning golfers to learn foundational fundamentals in a low-pressure group setting. Led by PGA Teaching Professional, Herman Williams, every session starts with an overview of the days’ topic followed by supervised practice and hands-on learning.

The basics of grip, stance, posture, aiming, how to setup to the ball, backswing, downswing and finish will all be explained in easy-to-understand detail. Herman claims if you can count to 6, you can learn to hit a golf ball. So no need to be intimidated or nervous here.

The clinics aren’t just for beginners either. Intermediate golfers will enjoy the opportunity to review fundamentals and get feedback on specific golf swing questions as Herman walks the teeline to work with each individual.

The Junior Golf Clinics are for ages: 8-17. These classes are single one hour sessions and are designed for junior golfers to come back to again and again, building on what was learned in previous clinics. All skill levels are welcome, from beginner to advanced and everyone will receive individually tailored instruction in every clinic.

So if you have a junior that is just getting started, or a more experienced player who wants to get to the next level, the Junior Golf Clinics are a great way to improve your junior’s golf game. Pee Wee clinics are for your littlest ones, ages 5-9.  We will allow children age 4 if they have had experience hitting on the range and have good attention spans.

These half-hour clinics are just as much fun for the parents as they are for the kids. Your pee wee will get good, easy to understand fundamental instruction in a fun group format: a little talking and a lot of ball hitting, just like they like it.

We have also designed these clinics for Pee Wees to be able to come back to again and again. Each time, we review core fundamentals and then build on what was learned previously. The Annual Ping Demo Day at The Golf Academy is Saturday March 17th 2012 from 10am – 2pm.

Don’t miss this if you like testing the latest golf club designs or if you have your eye on a new custom fit set of clubs. Ping will have all of it’s golf club designs available for demo, and clubfittings will be performed on site.
